- •Although classified as a Munro Top of its neighbour Càrn Ghluasaid, it stands at over 1,000 metres, making it higher than many standalone Munros in other parts of the Highlands.
- •From the summit cairn, there is a clear, unobstructed view directly across Loch Cluanie to the seven Munros of the South Glen Shiel Ridge, most notably the sharp peak of Creag a' Mhaim.
- •For many, Sron a' Choire serves as a 'false hope' summit; after a grueling pull from the road, it greets you with the news that the true plateau of Càrn Ghluasaid is still a further climb to the west.
