About Faire nam Fiadh
Set upon the long eastern shoulder of An Riabhachan, this high-level Tump overlooks the remote depths of Gleann nam Fiadh. It offers a rugged, grassy traverse with expansive views across Loch Mullardoch towards the Affric peaks. It is a lonely, atmospheric spot, usually visited during the long, demanding circuit of the Mullardoch ridges.

Did You Know?
- •The name is Gaelic for 'The Watch-place of the Deer.' It sits high above the northern side of Gleann nam Fiadh (Glen of the Deer), providing a natural lookout point over a valley historically famed for its red deer herds.
- •The summit serves as a significant intermediate point on the high eastern ridge of the Munro An Riabhachan; walkers approaching from the Mullardoch Dam typically traverse its top before the final, steeper pull to the higher mountain.
- •From the summit, you gain an exceptional perspective south across the glen toward the soaring north faces of the Glen Affric giants, most notably the massive bulk of Mam Sodhail.
- •Given its translation as a deer lookout, the hill remains one of the few places in the Highlands where the deer are likely to spot you several hours before you even realize you have reached the summit.
