About Martcrag Moor
Situated on the high, often saturated plateau between Borrowdale and Great Langdale, this Central Fell is a wilderness of peat hags and marsh. While frequently crossed by those on the Coast to Coast route via Greenup Edge, its summit offers a quiet, desolate perspective of the rugged Eagle Crag and the nearby Langdale Pikes.

- •From the summit, there is an excellent, unobstructed view down the deep glacial trough of Langstrath, flanked by the long, craggy spine of Glaramara.
