Did You Know?
- •The name Druim Chosaidh is derived from the Scottish Gaelic, where 'druim' signifies a ridge and 'cosaigh' refers to a hollow or recess, likely describing the landform's relationship to the deep corries on its northern flank.
- •Though classified as a Tump, it is most frequently traversed as a scenic, airy approach route for walkers tackling the more famous Knoydart Munros, Garbh Chioch Mhòr and Sgùrr na Cìche.
- •From the summit, the view south is dominated by the vast, winding expanse of Loch Quoich, framed perfectly by the steep slopes of Buidhe Bheinn and the distant peaks of the South Glen Shiel Forest.
- •In keeping with its location in the 'Rough Bounds', the terrain is a relentless mix of shattered rock and damp heather; it is the kind of ground that makes you appreciate the rare moments your ankles aren't at a forty-five-degree angle.
