Rising to 571 metres in the Angus Glens, this Dodd sits on the southern edge of the Grampian plateau between Glen Isla and Glen Prosen. The summit offers a commanding view across Strathmore to the Sidlaw Hills, with the higher Munros of the Mounth visible to the north and west across intervening moorland.
