Leac nam Buidheag

Sitting above Glen Strathfarrar in the Northwest Highlands, this 556-metre Dodd occupies forested and rough ground south of Loch Beinn a' Mheadhoin. The hill forms part of the remote country between Strathglass and Glen Affric, where access is controlled by locked estate gates and limited vehicle passage along the glen.

• •The name Leac nam Buidheag derives from Scottish Gaelic, meaning 'the slab of the little yellow places' or 'flagstone of the small yellow-haired ones', likely referring to patches of yellow-flowered vegetation or pale rock outcrops visible on the hillside.
