- •The hill sits at the eastern end of the Manor Hills range, which takes its name from the Manor Water valley running through the former royal hunting forest of Ettrick.
- •From the summit, the view north extends across the Tweed Valley to the Moorfoot Hills, while Dollar Law, the highest of the Manor Hills at 817 metres, dominates the skyline to the southwest.
