Meall Dubh

Rising to 586 metres above Loch Fyne's eastern shore, this modest Dodd occupies the rolling terrain between Cowal and Loch Lomond. The name translates from Gaelic as 'black hill', likely referring to dark heather or peat-stained ground. Straightforward ascents reward with views across the sea loch and surrounding Argyll coastline.
