About Stob Bealach nan Corp
Tucked away in the heart of the Trossachs, this craggy outlier offers an atmospheric ascent above the Great Trossachs Forest. Rising between Loch Katrine and Brig o' Turk, the terrain is characteristically rugged and heathery. The summit provides a superb, close-up perspective of Ben Venue’s eastern faces and the silver waters below.

Did You Know?
- •The name is Gaelic for 'Peak of the Pass of the Bodies'. It refers to the historic coffin road running through the bealach below, once used by funeral processions from Glen Finglas to reach consecrated ground at Aberfoyle.
- •The hill sits at the western end of the ridge that includes Meall Gainmheich, forming a significant part of the skyline viewed by visitors at the Trossachs Pier on the shores of Loch Katrine.
- •The summit provides a specific, clear sightline across the water to the distinctive rocky prow of Ben A'an and the sprawling eastern slopes of Ben Venue.
- •It is arguably the most morbidly titled hill in the district, though the views are fortunately far more lively than the historical funeral traffic that gave the pass its name.
