Did You Know?
- •The name translates from Scottish Gaelic as "Yellow Hill," likely describing the appearance of the dead moorland grasses and sedges that dominate the terrain in the colder months.
- •To the north, the summit provides a clear, earned view across the deep waters of Loch Monar to the high, remote plateaus of Maoile Lunndaidh and Sgùrr a' Chaorachain.
- •Its location in the Monar Forest makes it one of the more inaccessible hills in the region, usually requiring a lengthy approach from the end of the public road at Dalnacroich.
- •Standing at exactly 700 metres, it occupies a lonely middle ground: too high to be overlooked, but just short of the heights that would attract more mainstream peak-baggers.
