Craig Dolfudr

Situated in the quieter northern reaches of the Arenigs, this heather-clad top offers a rugged, pathless experience away from the crowds of Arenig Fawr. It serves as an excellent vantage point for surveying the vast, wild Migneint moors and the steep, rocky eastern faces of the higher peaks nearby.

• •The name is likely derived from the Welsh 'Craig' (crag) and 'Dolfudr', a combination of 'dol' (meadow) and 'budr' (dirty or foul), which refers to the marshy, peat-stained ground in the valley of the Nant Dolfudr below.
• •It is frequently climbed as part of a longer, wilder circuit from the shores of Llyn Celyn, typically combined with the neighbouring summits of Carnedd Iago and the higher Arenig Fawr.
• •The summit provides a distinct perspective on the massive eastern escarpment of Arenig Fawr and looks directly across the remote, water-logged expanse of the Migneint to the west.
