Is Pumlumon Fawr difficult to walk?

The walking is not technically difficult, but Pumlumon is rugged, remote and exposed. Weather can change quickly and navigation can be difficult in poor visibility. Carry a map and compass, appropriate clothing, food and water; mobile signal may be unreliable.

What's the legend of the sleeping giant at Pumlumon?

A folklore reference says an unnamed giant sleeps inside Plynlimon, but gives no further identity or purpose. It does not say the five summits are specific body parts or that the giant is waiting to defend Wales.

Can you see other mountains from Pumlumon's summit?

Yes. In clear conditions Ceredigion County Council says the panorama includes Yr Wyddfa and Cader Idris to the north and Pen y Fan to the south, as well as the Preseli Mountains and Cardigan Bay.
