Ruadh Stac Beag

Overlooking the remote waters of Fionn Loch, this rugged Tump offers a front-row seat to the dramatic Fisherfield Forest. While often overshadowed by its higher Torridon namesake, its position in the 'Great Wilderness' provides exceptional, lonely perspectives of the jagged serrations of An Teallach and the massive bulk of Beinn Dearg Mor.

• •The name Ruadh Stac Beag is Gaelic for 'Little Red Steep Hill.' In this part of the Highlands, 'Ruadh' (red) usually denotes the presence of Torridonian sandstone, which gives many of these peaks their distinctive dark, terraced character.
• •The summit provides a unique, low-level perspective across the Dubh Loch towards the inaccessible eastern cliffs of A' Mhaighdean, often cited as the most remote Munro in Scotland.
