• •The name is Gaelic for 'Hill of the Seat' or 'Sitting Hill'. In Scottish topography, 'Suidhe' often denotes a place where a saint or legendary figure was said to have rested, though no specific local legend remains attached to this particular peak.
• •While it stands as a solitary Graham, many walkers combine it with the neighbouring Beinn Udlaidh to the south. The two are linked by the high pass of the Lairig Mhic Bhaidein, creating a satisfying horseshoe walk around the burns of Gleann Kinglass.
• •The summit offers a unique perspective on the massive south-western face of Beinn Mhanach and the cone of Beinn Dorain. Seeing these Munros from this westerly vantage point provides a much better sense of their true scale than the standard views from the West Highland Way.
