Black Knowe

A grassy summit in the central Moorfoot Hills southeast of Edinburgh, rising to 522 metres above moorland drained by headwaters of the Gala Water. The approach typically involves steady walking across open ground with few distinguishing features beyond a modest cairn marking the high point. Views extend north toward the Firth of Forth and the city beyond.
