Often paired with its nearly identical twin, Stob Coire Easain, this high Munro dominates the skyline above Loch Treig. It offers a rugged, high-altitude ridge walk with substantial steep ground. The summit provides an exceptional vantage point looking west across the Lairig Leacach towards the Grey Corries and the Ben Nevis massif.

- •The name is Gaelic for 'Peak of the Middle Corrie.' This refers to its position overlooking the central bowl of the three corries carved into the western side of the mountain ridge.
