• •The name translates from Scottish Gaelic as 'Heather Hill', a fitting description for the thick vegetation that blankets its lower slopes and provides a testing workout for the legs before the rockier upper ridges are reached.
• •Hillwalkers often pair this summit with the neighbouring Munro, Sgùrr nan Coireachan, by following the high ridge that connects them around the head of the glen, creating a classic horseshoe walk above Glenfinnan.
• •From the summit cairn, the view northwest looks directly into the 'Rough Bounds of Knoydart', with the distinctive pointed pyramid of Sgùrr na Cìche standing out clearly amongst a sea of complex, interlocking ridges.
