Hewitts

The Hewitts are hills in England, Wales, and Ireland over 2,000 feet (609.6m), with a prominence of at least 30 metres (98 feet). They were created because Alan Dawson felt the Nuttalls (with their easier 15m drop) included too many minor tops that didn't feel like proper separate mountains — so he adopted the stricter 30m prominence rule already used by international mountaineers, giving hill-baggers a more satisfying challenge of real, standalone peaks rather than endless ridge extras.
